Jenkins was at practice today, but I heard Miles was not.
Getting Jenkins back is huge but pass rush will be top priority this week. We can't cover Fitzgerald by just covering him. We have to take him out by knocking the crap out of his QB every time they drop back.
Much like the last 2 weeks, the game will be closer than necessary if we don't improve our 3rd down defense. We keep getting teams in 3rd and long and then letting them off the hook.
Fiametta won't be back but we should still be able to run on Arizona's defense enough to keep them honest.

Don't understand why we don't sign or promote someone from the practice squad to play a legit FB position...Phillips, Marty B and Witten playing FB is really making our running game look pedestrian. Murray is running hard but those nice lanes he had with Fiametta just aren't there anymore.

Chapas is on the PS, but he isn't a blocking FB, he is more of a power RB/pass catcher.
Where the heck is Deon Anderson? He was in Miami for a while last year but not anymore.

our biggest concern this week should be beanie wells
he was a BEAST yesterday, and run defense is something we have been STRAH-GAH-LING with of late

also, regarding fiametta - jerry said the other day that he thinks he's probably out for the season

and regarding demarco murray, i will say the 73 and 87 yards he's gotten the past two games are in many ways more impressive than the 601 he totaled in the four games before that
no legit FB running into 8 in the box every time and he still churned out solid runs throughout

Beanie Wells has a few years of being mediocre and one good game. Shutting down the running game is ALWAYS where you start your defense, but the key in this game is killing their QB. They won't run on us enough to kill us. Fitzgerald on the other hand, can score 2 or 3 TDs on 2 or 3 plays.

Against San Fran 2 weeks ago, Wells had 8 carries for 33 yards. The week before that against Philly, he had 23 carries for 62 yards, the week before that was his other STL game where he had 10 carries for 20 yards. Let's not get carried away with Beanie-love.

If he is on the field, he is healthy.

This game is starting to worry me. It is a trap game. We've been rolling so the guys may relax (even close wins are wins). They have a WR that can take over a game and they have a punt returner than can easily put 6 on the board. We'd better bring a lunch to this game or we'll regret it.

I think we smell division title enough to not take this game lightly and try to take care of business in order to make the Giants game a do or die at home. If Miles plays and is healthy, I think we win going away. If he doesn't, I think it is close but we pull away late. Something like...
Cowboys 24 Cardinals 20

I've just had too many years of Wade and the like...I'm really hoping Red J has changed the culture out there.
