I told you this Cardinals team was dangerous and the OL is TERRIBLE today. Garrett isn't much better with his playcalling so far.

Once again, for SOME REASON the OL just goes to hell in December. That (somehow) translates to "Romo can't play in December". Well...that is true, because he spends most of December under a pile of defenders.
This is sickening. I'm SO EFFING TIRED of this OL falling apart. Fire Houck and cut everyone except Tyron Smith and Montrae Holland. I thought ditching all those old vets that couldn't get out of their stance would help. I was wrong.

Can't say I didn't warn you. Once again, Romo did what needed to be done (behind a TERRIBLE performance by the OL) and once again, his team and coaches failed him but he'll still get the blame as the guy that can't win in DEC.

This game is starting to worry me. It is a trap game. We've been rolling so the guys may relax (even close wins are wins). They have a WR that can take over a game and they have a punt returner than can easily put 6 on the board. We'd better bring a lunch to this game or we'll regret it. just sayin

Romo's clock management after the Dez catch on the last drive was as much of a game killer as Garrett's moron move of icing his own kicker. Could have ran at least 2 more plays to make the kick shorter with 27 seconds. Letting the clock run down to 7 seconds and spiking the ball was idiotic...and it had nothing to do with the OL. BTW, at the beginning of the year, I said the OL reshuffle and playing all the young spares would be the team's downfall...just sayin.

I guarantee you that is what Garrett was yelling at him to do.
Old spares, young spares. You act like having those fat bags of shit out there would have made this different. This is EXACTLY what has been going on here for 6 years.

Gurode fat-assing it up out there last year and the year before? Watters, maybe except that he would have been Holland's replacement and Holland grades out very well as our 2nd best OL after Smith.

I think he has been absolutely TERRIBLE. Gurode is overrated but I don't recall thinking he was getting beat by just about every DT-NT in a season. Holland has been ok but Watters is probably going to the Pro Bowl this season.

Even Nate said that move was 2 years too late. I'm not saying Costa is better. I've only said Costa can do things Gurode can't (get out on sweeps and screens) and he actually has upside. Gurode has none. Rolling him out there again just would have doomed us to the exact same fate as the past few years. The move with Costa might not have worked, but it was a gamble that we lost. Rolling with Gurode (and BIGG and Columbo) would have netted the same results....definition of insanity.

Never said I wanted BIGG and Columbo back...I would rather have my center stronger against the pass rush than trying to get out on sweeps and screens. It's nice to have a mobile lineman but not at the expense of him getting man handled when we are in obvious passing downs, which is what Costa has been all year. I think Gurode would have held his blocks better than Costa is now but we will never know...agree to disagree I guess.

only two people to blame for this loss: garrett and scandrick you're crazy. The OL was TERRIBLE the entire game. We scored 13 pts on the CARDINALS. Romo was under pressure from the first snap. Dez dropped about 30 passes. Newman was WAY worse than Scandrick.

we'd have won the game if scandrick hadn't wiped out dez's punt return with that inexcusable penalty and garrett hadn't iced his own kicker and called an inexcusable timeout
yes, the OL was terrible (romo repeatedly held on to the ball too long) and dez dropped way too many passes, but even so, we would have still won if not those brain farts by garrett and scandrick
