Man...that dude is a badass. I'm glad he made it through the entire show instead of getting killed in season 3 or 4, but man, getting capped in the convenience store by a kid was pretty shocking. I loved how he would walk down the street with his shotgun and kids would yell "Omar!! Here comes Omar"!
On a sidenote, his character in Boardwalk Empire is pretty badass, too.

just found this: With Dexter as a massively popular show for Showtime, however, there has been little reason for the company to look to the series’ end. But that’s where we are now. Michael C. Hall just signed a new deal to stay with the show for two more years, and Showtime immediately renewed Dexter for seventh and eighth seasons. Even with that in mind, there is now an end for the story in sight, and a Showtime exec says the eighth season will likely be the end. So I guess next season will be Deb struggling to decide whether she should turn Dexter in or not. Cliffhanger will probably be her deciding to file charges against Dexter...Season 8 will probably be Deb chasing him down and eventually killing him (finale). I was half right...she struggled on whether to turn him in all year but then did a panic killing to finish off the season. Enjoy LaGuerta WHILE YOU CAN! |

I'm glad she got killed off. Something about her annoyed me. I think it might have been her over pronounciation of Spanish words. OK, we get it...you're Cuban and you live in Miami... She reminds me of a veteran escort girl entering the twilight of her career. Still looks good, but there's hardly any tread left on those tires.
It will be very strange without her next season.

We have been seeing previews for The Americans on FX when we watched American Horror Story. It looks like it's big Russian Cold War stuff that infiltrates America. Haven't read up on it and commercials we saw aren't too clear, but it's enough to make us want to watch it. I think it starts at the end of this month. |

Yeah, I've seen the previews for The Americans...looks good. There is another with Kevin Bacon chasing a serial killer that I'm going to try on for size too.
