Because they want to freak you out....and it appears it is working. Dangit...unlike Jimmy and his mom, Dexter and Deb's incest scene was big dream pysche out...La Guerta is so sorry, Deb should have punched her after she got screwed over with the old man boss...The chick with the gas bomb getting stuck in the conference room and doing big blood face panic was good schtick...Quin needs to go ahead and be off'd, his character has become nothing but a nuisance...Masuka's "Bukkake...BukkAKE" line was funny.

Yeah, they have been setting that guy up with a super-creepy vibe for a while now.

WOW...nice cliffhanger. Will he kill her? Will she join him? It was HER dad that trained him..she can't be THAT mad, can she?

That finale was almost as bad as SAMCRO's. If not for Deb walking into the church, I would have absolutely no motivation to keep watching. The DDK climax was so meh, no real tension or battle whatsover...just Dexter magically being able to save the day at the last second, then somehow transport Tom Hank's kid's body with Harrison down a building crawling with cops? The way he lost Harrison in the first place was ridiculous...I was also shocked Quinn made it alive through the ending, thought for sure he would be killed off for being such an annoying nuisance all season...I guess the computer nerd is shaping up to be the bad guy next season although, if next season is the last for Dexter, it would seem right that Dexter is the one on the loose with Deb hunting him down....Either way, last 2 minutes saved what was a VERY disappointing finale.

Getting Tom Hanks' kid off the building was iffy, but I liked the rest of it.
Is next season supposed to be the last?

just found this:
With Dexter as a massively popular show for Showtime, however, there has been little reason for the company to look to the series’ end. But that’s where we are now. Michael C. Hall just signed a new deal to stay with the show for two more years, and Showtime immediately renewed Dexter for seventh and eighth seasons. Even with that in mind, there is now an end for the story in sight, and a Showtime exec says the eighth season will likely be the end.

So I guess next season will be Deb struggling to decide whether she should turn Dexter in or not. Cliffhanger will probably be her deciding to file charges against Dexter...Season 8 will probably be Deb chasing him down and eventually killing him (finale).

Nah, they will hook up for a while and then he'll kill her and the final scene will be him going off in his boat headed for Puerto Rico or something. Then they could do a movie if they want.

Just finished the finale. It took us a couple of years to get through this since we were mixing in The Wire (finished last weekend) and getting current with Breaking Bad. I am very interested with how the whole Deb seeing Dexter kill someone will work out. This whole season was creepy. Whackos are everywhere...

Hey Matt what did you think about The Wire? Dad stayed after me to watch that until I finally did. I loved it.

Loved The Wire! I'm glad we started it. There was so much awesome in that series I don't even know where to begin.
