Or he meant EVERYONE is expendable (including himself). Either way, he is an idiot. He's the guy who got into that locker room altercation with Jay Ratliff a few weeks ago, right? yeah, he is real ballsy when he knows there are enough people around to keep him from getting turned inside out by Ratliff's dingus.

Whitney Mercilus from Illinois. Look him up. Watch some video. He is very fast, has great size and was VERY productive leading the nation in sacks and forced fumbles.
Right now he is projected in the mid-late first. With a good combine and interviews he will move right up into the range around 14.

want a good laugh? I read this on a board today. I read stupid stuff all the time, but this deserves its own category.
"As for safety, the position has become important in the pass happy NFL of today. If we had a dominant one, this defense would probably kick up to 2000 Ravens defense area."
So, according to this guy if we had a dominant safety the defense transforms into the 2000 Ravens...WOW. That is likely the dumbest thing I've ever read about football. SERIOUSLY.

Here are some possible OL options... sportsblogs.star-telegram.com/cowboys/2012/01/cowboys-could-help-their-offensive-line-in-free-agency-if-big-names-hit-the-market.htmlCowboys could help their offensive line in free agency if big names hit the market
The Cowboys will be looking to improve in the interior of their offensive line. Offensive line coach Bill Callahan will help, but Dallas could use better players.
Center Phil Costa was the 30th-best center in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus. Right guard Kyle Kosier, 33, didn't have his best season. He tied for 46th among guards, according to the Web site. The Cowboys started three left guards. Montrae Holland played there for 10 games after being re-signed when rookie Bill Nagy was lost for the season. Pro Football Focus had Holland tied for 16th among guards.
Stanford offensive guard David DeCastro could be available at No. 14 in the draft, but signing a free agent is a possibility, too.
The best guards slated to become free agents are New Orleans' Carl Nicks and Baltimore's Ben Grubbs. Houston's Chris Myers, Green Bay's Scott Wells and San Diego's Nick Hardwick are the top centers whose contracts expire.
Nicks was named to the All-Pro team, and Pro Football Focus said he had the second-best season behind Philadelphia's Evan Mathis by allowing two sacks, two quarterback hits and eight pressures. The Saints are expected to do all they can to keep Nicks.
But he is expected to command more than his teammate, Jahri Evans, who signed the richest contract ever for a guard last offseason. Evans signed a seven-year, $56.7 million contract, with $19 million in the first year and $25.7 million over the first three years. The Saints could franchise Nicks, who turns 27 in May. However, that would entail getting quarterback Drew Brees under contract first. They also have receiver Marques Colston set to become a free agent.
Grubbs was 12th among guards, according to PFF. He allowed four sacks, two quarterback hits and six pressures. Baltimore was 10th in rushing. Grubbs turns 28 in March.
Myers had the best season of any center, according to PFF. He played 1,060 snaps and gave up one sack. He also was a big reason the Texans ranked second in rushing. He turns 31 in September.
Wells was the fourth-best center, and Hardwick was 12th. Both would be upgrades over Costa. Wells just turned 31. Hardwick turns 31 in September.

david moore was just on the ticket talking about how alabama CB dre kirkpatrick - a previously ironclad top 10 pick - might fall at least a few spots in the draft since he got busted for weed the other day, meaning he could conceivably be available when the cowboys pick at 14
the question is: do you take this guy, who's got seemingly can't-miss talent, or is the weed bust too much of a red flag?

Well, the same thing made Warren Sapp fall and he had a nice career. However, it bothers me that he is enough of a knucklehead that knowing he is 3 months from becoming a millionaire he could not put down the weed.
This could be a tie breaker. If he and Decastro are both there, I'd go Decastro...no doubt. Plus, this is a deep CB draft.

Honestly I think a first round guard is a reach. Tackles are different stories there is more value in other skilled positions and I think defense is way more important and best player available will be on defense as well.

I still say trade out of the first round. Love the new CBA rookies are under control for a minimal amount of money.
I've yet to see I guy that will fall to the 14th pick I'm in love with. Hoping the Senior Bowl and Combine will shine some light on a guy that I haven't really thought up all that much.

HELL NO!!! I team that is on the verge of a championship moves up in the draft. We are struggling to be .500. We need building blocks and lots of them. We need a dirty dozen players again.

Telling you I dream of trading Miles and trading down. There is lots of guys in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds that can play for Thai team. When did Thailand get their own team? Is Dat their coach or is he still hiding behind the grassy knoll?
