the only wide receiver candidate in the draft who looks to have A.J. Green/Julio Jones impact ability from Day 1 while i agree about miles to the jets making lots of sense for both teams, the above quote is not entirely accurate, as michael floyd is a TOTAL BAD-ASS don't get ahead of yourself...and he doees have some off field baggage. I think the Jets have too much of that already.

sportsblogs.star-telegram.com/cowboys/2012/01/ol-david-decastro-g-stanford-top-guard-prospect-in-this-class-mauling-puller-who-can-dominate-at-the-point-of-attack-an.htmlDavid DeCastro, Mark Barron, Alfonzo Dennard are possibilities for Cowboys in draft
The Cowboys have 17 of 22 starters under contract for next season, but that doesn't mean all 17 will return or return to their starting roles. Cornerback Terence Newman is expected to be jettisoned, and the Cowboys could upgrade their entire interior offensive line. Dallas will have chances through free agency and the draft to improve itself.
The Cowboys have the 14th overall draft pick. Some of the areas they could look to address are: cornerback, interior offensive line, safety, pass-rushing linebacker and defensive end. Draft analyst Dane Brugler gives an early look at who might be there for the Cowboys at No. 14, with comments. You can find Dane on Twitter @dpbrugler.
OL
David DeCastro, G, Stanford - top guard prospect in this class, mauling puller who can dominate at the point of attack and eliminate defenders - will fit somewhere in that top-20
Peter Konz, G/C, Wisconsin - versatile center/guard who is more of a later first rounder, but could easily sneak into top-20 - no question the top center in this class DB
Mark Barron, S, Alabama - top safety in this class who loves to hit and get physical, better downhill vs the run than back in coverage but has the feet to hold his own against the pass
Alfonzo Dennard, CB, Nebraska - short and lacks elite speed, but he's fluid with good instincts, feel and ballskills for the position
Janoris Jenkins, CB, North Alabama - would be a definite top-15 prospect if it weren't for the red flags off the field but the skill is there Pass Rushing OLB
Melvin Ingram, South Carolina - do-it-all pass rusher who lacks great measureables but is relentless - in the James Harrison (PIT) mold
Courtney Upshaw, Alabama - lacks great length, but has smooth footwork and hips with the natural burst to win the edge and chase down ballcarriers (Def MVP of Nat'l Championship) 5-technique DE
Quinton Coples, North Carolina - had a disappointing senior season and there are some questions about his passion but skill and raw talent is off-the-charts
Devon Still, Penn State - moves very well for a man his size with the strength and explosion to occupy blocks and collapse the pocket - Big Ten Def MVP this season

Question does Doug Free have good feet? I think he has, excellent movement very light on his feet even could make a great guard. So if that's a true statement then how's this as a shocker for a move in the off season D'BRICKASHAW MOTHERFUCKING FERGUSON. Just think dollar for dollar he will come in close to same contract as Carl Nicks or Ben Grubbs. Still would have no problem with Nicks or Grubbs. So if Free can play guard would be a good get. Then one of the young kids at the other guard Arkin, Nagy, Costa, or Kowalski the other three as backups at guard and center. Then draft a center in the 4th round. I remember saying something to Gary about Philip Blake from Baylor kids a beast. We could get him around pick 141 or later he's on the draft ranking boards as 171 overall.
This gives you flexibility at the OL. The interior offensive line can all play guard and center. Your right guard can flex out to be a tackle if needed. Then you have 6 guys that have been in the NFL 3 years or less gaining experience.
So that leaves you the whole rest of the draft to find a NT, DE, CB, OLB, and FS. Here's me working my draft magic or attempting to play GM.
Call the Rams offer our 1st and Miles Austin for their 2nd, 3rd, and 6th and 2nd next season.
So at pick 36 from the Rams; Dontari Poe, NT out of Memphis 350 pounds of badass beast.
Pick 45; Chase Minnifield, CB Virginia big strong physical athletic corner that could match up with Cruz and Nicks on New York.
So at pick 66 from the Rams; Markelle Martin, FS OklahomaState probably the fastest safety in the draft. Goes with my speed and athleticism mantra for 2012.
Pick 82; Travis Lewis, OLB Oklahoma kid broke record Brian Bosworth had for the Sooners. Can really move lead the team in tackles every year. Injuries kept him out of the draft last season he would have been a 1st or second rounder and dropped his stock this season. Similar to Murray a solid get with lots of polish from a big school with lots of history that he set some good records for.
Pick 113; Josh Robinson, CB/KR UFC fast, athletic shutdown corner. That would give you 4 CB that are all starter level Jenkins, Minnifield, Robinson, and Scandrick.
Pick 141; Philip Blake, C Baylor he's a beast for a mobile QB been blocking Big 12 Defensive Tackles for 3 years translates well into the NFL I think.
Pick 172; Brett Roy, DE Nevada kids big strong and FAST. that would really upgrade DL he could split time with Ratliff and Spears and DE. I think he will become a force as a pressure pass rusher.
Pick 192 if still on the board Jeff Demps RB Florida he's an Olympics level sprinter I mean it has aspirations of running in the Olympics. This is a rare find indeed guy like this makes any team better. I mean special team hello what an upgrade 4,28 40 you kidding me Chris Johnson. Now you know why I included 6th pick from the Rams.

He's generally pretty solid, but I still have the images burned in my head of him getting repeatedly ass raped by Jason Pierre-Paul in that Jets-Giants game toward the end of the season. Dude was used and abused something fierce.

But to your original point, I agree that Free would probably be much better at G than T.

Your defense would be as follows Ratliff, Dontari Poe, Brett Roy, Ware, Lee, Carter, Travis Lewis, Jenkins, Sensebaugh, Markelle Martin, Chase Minnifield, in the nickel Scandrick and dime Josh Robinson
This would give you backups like Spears, Butler, Church, Brent, Lissemore, McCray, Albright
I'd go to war with a group like this for sure 100%.
Offense could be D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Nagy, Philip Blake, Free, Smith or Smith, Carl Nicks, Philip Blake, Nagy, Free Witten, Robinson, Bryant, Murray, Fiametta, Romo
Backups like Jeff Demps Jones, Harris, Phillips, Arkin, Costa, Parnell, Kowalski, Radway, McGee
Would need to pickup another TE, couple WR, backup project QB. But all could be rookie free agents or your 6th 7th round picks
Could be top 10 offense in NFL if healthy.

espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4689564/fixing-the-cowboys-start-with-carl-nicks-and-a-rookie-cbFixing the Cowboys: Start with Carl Nicks, rookie CB
The Cowboys have too many holes to fill with significant free agency investments and early draft picks. They need to aggressively address their priorities and bargain shop or count on young players to step up in the other need spots.
The priorities are clear: cornerback and the interior offensive line.
There is only one undoubtedly elite player just entering his prime at those positions available in free agency. That’s why Pro Bowl guard Carl Nicks, who is expected to leave the Saints and happened to play for new offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Bill Callahan at Nebraska, should be the Cowboys’ top target.
The best corners in free agency – Atlanta’s Brent Grimes, Tennessee’s Cortland Finnegan and San Francisco’s Carlos Rogers – are in their late 20s or beyond. The Cowboys are dealing with the downside of paying big money to a cornerback at that stage of his career with Terence Newman. That’s a hole they need to fill via the draft.
Owner/general manager Jerry Jones, who made Leonard Davis one of the richest guards in NFL history only to cut him a few seasons later, has said he wants to stop the trend of paying top dollar for offensive linemen in free agency. Nicks is worth being an exception, especially given the Cowboys’ glaring need. He’s a dominant player who is only 26 years old, so the Cowboys would be purchasing his entire prime.
What would Nicks cost? Just look at what the Saints pay their other Pro Bowl guard to get an idea. Jahri Evans has a seven-year, $56.7 million deal.
That would eat up a major chunk of the estimated $17 million the Cowboys are expected to have under the salary cap after they take care of housekeeping issues such as cutting Newman. If the Cowboys re-sign receiver Laurent Robinson, it likely would mean Nicks would be the lone surefire starter they sign in free agency.
So the Cowboys better find a cornerback in the draft. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they need to reach for one in the first round.
It’d be ideal if Alabama’s Dre Kirkpatrick, the kind of big, physical cornerback the Cowboys want, is available with the 14th overall pick. He’d probably be worth trading up a few spots.
But a lot of bad picks are made when teams get locked into one position in the first round. If another player is clearly the best player on the board when the Cowboys are on the clock, get that guy, even if it’s Stanford guard David DeCastro and Nicks is already signed. If that happens, the Cowboys’ interior line suddenly goes from a glaring weakness to a major strength, no matter who beats out Phil Costa for the starting center job.
There should be quality corners, such South Carolina’s Stephon Gilmore and Virginia’s Chase Minnifield, available in the second round.
Safety, defensive end and outside linebacker are other need positions for the Cowboys. If the Cowboys find long-term solutions at those spots over the next year, it’ll probably be young players already on the roster: Barry Church, Sean Lissemore and Victor Butler, although Alabama OLB Courtney Upshaw is also a first-round possibility. The Cowboys would be wise to create as much competition at those spots as possible with low-risk, short-term free agents and/or mid- or late-round draft picks.
But the Cowboys can’t afford to fail to address their two biggest needs, a process that should start with a 6-foot-5, 343-pound solution.

Ferguson is REALLY locked up:
7/7/2010: Signed an eight-year, $73.6 million contract. The deal contains $34.8 million guaranteed, including a $1.6 million signing bonus and a first-year roster bonus of $3.1 million. All but $5.3 million of the "guarantees," however, are guaranteed only for "skill" and not injury. 2011: $5.615 million (+ $3.9 million option bonus), 2012: $9.985 million, 2013: $7.25 million, 2014-2015: $5.95 million, 2016: $8.625 million, 2017: $11.275 million, 2018: Free Agent

Cbssportsline had him listed as unrestricted free agent. Which shocked me as well seeing he would be topping most list of free agents under Brees and Foster only.

Well, CBS Sports line is wrong.
Check out Rotoworld.com. They have GREAT salary info. In many cases they even find out how the contract is structured (bonuses, base salaries, etc).
