It was a solid game and I was surprised Pittsburgh wasn't able to pull off the win at the end. I really thought Roethlisberger was going to manage another Superbowl comeback. Props to the Packers, Rodgers was great and the defense made HUGE plays...
Thoughts?

BTW, of the commercials, I liked the following...
* NFL promo with the old TV shows with photoshopped football attire
* Pepsi Max commercial with the runner getting hit by the Pepsi can by the jealous lady
* Job site commercial with the monkeys blocking in the car in the parking lot
* Darth Vader kid trying to use the force to do stuff
Most of the other commercials were TERRIBLE, especially the old west one where they start singing 'Tiny Dancer'...big Almost Famous rip off.

The one where the guy sent the "reply all" email and then tore ass to make sure that it wasn't seen by anyone was great. Knocking phones out of people's hands as he ran up the stairs, taking everyone's laptop in the conference room and then ripping out the giant bundle of cables from the server...greatness. Monkeys will always equal funny.

i liked the snickers ad with richard lewis and roseanne
super bowl was ok, but not as good as most we've seen during the great run of the aughts
junior miller said this morning that aaron rodgers is now the best qb in the league (yeah, better than brady and peyton manning - i'm not so sure about that just yet) and that the packers are about to become the next '90s cowboys-style dynasty
i just hope all the current cowboys watched yesterday and committed themselves to not sitting in front of the tv again next february

i liked the snickers ad with richard lewis and roseanne Meh...it was just a recycle of Betty White and Abe Bagoda last year...BTW, Roseanne must have had the thumb stomach, she looked thin.

Rodgers looked average at best. He had some drops, but he also had some MAJOR misses and in general his first half consisted of throwing it deep on every play instead of taking all those open receivers underneath. That was one of the worst superbowls I've seen in a long time from an offensive standpoint. Both teams were terrible on offense.

I thought Rodgers had some misses also but overall I thought he was REALLY good. Pittsburgh defense normally makes great QB's look awful...all they could do was keep Rodgers from being spectacular but he dominated that game in my opinion.

Sorry. It is the Superbowl...a couple of early first quarter misses is one thing. He missed several easy throws (to the point that even Aikman asked how he could miss some of them) and on top of that he kept firing it down field. Terrible. He is much better than that. I'm not saying he isn't good, but he didn't play well yesterday...not compared to his standard.

Romo got beaten to death that day and yet if Jordy Nelson is running that last route instead of QUITTER CRAYTON, we win that game. Maybe my biggest problem with what I saw was a flawed gameplan IMO. I didn't like them slinging it down field to covered receivers all the time. Especially in the Superbowl when you know the guys are going to start a little nervous. Their first play was a 40 yard incompletion.
