So, I'm reading some links on DMN and I see this in a Cowboys chat:
It looks as if Felix, John Phillips, M. Jenkins and perhaps Spears and Coleman will not be re-signed. That is going to make the roster even thinner unless there is an A+ draft or free agents that will take a discount to play for the Cowboys. Is there enough flexibility in the salary cap to fill some of these holes?
Brandon George: As I said earlier, the Cowboys don't have a ton of wiggle room with their salary cap this year. They'll be able to fill some holes but mostly with players who are bargains. They'll have to spend wisely and spread their money out as much as they can. Mostly, they'll need to fill holes with the draft.

Why is it when people talk about our players, they want to talk about how they are all trash...just terrible, can't play, can't stay healthy, overpaid, etc. Then when one becomes a free agent they shit themselves worrying how in the world we will be able to replace them.
Let's look at the ones he mentioned:
Felix - backup at best, never healthy, good rookie year, crap since then. Replaceable? EASILY. Draft, free agency, current RBs on the roster. He should have been gone last year. Nice guy...hope you have a wonderful life, but your time here is done.
Phillips - 3rd TE. Can we not keep him for next to nothing? If we want him, he stays. If not we'll replace him with whatever...this is an easy one.
Jenkins - In a Tampa 2, your CBs have to tackle. Does he tackle? Has he EVER? He is very good in coverage. Let him go get paid. CBs are more easily found in this defense. Dude has only been on the field for a little over half a season in the past 2 seasons. Injury, bad attitude, questionable "give a shit". No loss. Move on, and ditch Scandrick while you're at it.
Spears - Could possibly be a good fit at DT in this scheme. Mobile and would be much better as a one gap DT that gets up field more than a 3-4 DE that hold the point of attack (which he is actually not bad at). If someone offers him big money he is gone. If not, he may be back.
Coleman - not a fit here anymore. Pure 3-4 DE, unless you put him at the 1 tech DT but that would be only if you couldn't find somone else to do it (Lissemore is a great fit there and we really only need one more 1 tech).
So.....WHO CARES??? I fcuking HATE our fans. All of our players suck. What will we do without our players???!! Don't pay guys for 1/2 a season of production! You HAVE to pay him, didn't you see what he did in that 4 game stretch!? All we have is overpaid, underachieving old guys! How can we go into the season with just rookies or some unproven 2nd year guy. What will we do??!!
