D'OH!cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/09/terence-newman-listed-as-questionable.htmlCB Terence Newman (groin) and WR Isaiah Stanback (shoulder) are listed as questionable on the Cowboys' official injury report.
All signs are that Stanback will play. He has fully participated in every practice this week, and Wade Phillips has said the Cowboys are counting on Stanback to be the No. 3 receiver. He probably won't play any special teams this week.
Newman's status is much murkier. He had limited participation in today's practice, as has been the case since he returned after missing nearly all of training camp with a partially torn groin. (Phillips said the Wednesday practice report released by the Cowboys, which listed Newman under full participation, was not accurate.)
Newman, who didn't talk to the media this week, might be a gametime decision. A likely scenario is that Adam "Pacman" Jones starts at Newman's left cornerback spot with Newman playing the slot in nickel and dime packages. If Newman does not play, fifth-round pick Orlando Scandrick will be the slot corner.

Newman coming into the nickel and dime packages would not be so bad since Pacman would start. If he is out though, that would be bad news since I don't know if Scandrick is ready to cover the slot in a real game, especially since the Browns have some speedy receivers (Edwards, Stallworth). Also, I really hope Stanback isn't counted on too heavily in this game. He already had a tendency to fumble, so a hurt shoulder will only make that problem worse...
