If he isn't kept, I'm NOT a fan of the move. Bailey has been great. Why mess with that?
This team always had good kickers when we had Steve Hoffman. Then they let him go and we went through a decade of back kickers. Then Boniol works with Bailey and we're back to having a good, clutch kicker. Why mess with that? If nothing else, why not make him the special teams coordinator? Hasn't he been in those meetings for 20 years as a kicker and coach?

Kicking coach Chris Boniol is one coach who is facing an uncertain future. His contract hasn't been renewed for the 2013 season.
Special teams coach Joe DeCamillis' departure to the Chicago Bears last week has given the front office pause regarding Boniol. The Cowboys are probably waiting to see who the new special teams coach will be before deciding Boniol's fate. The new special teams coach could decide if he wants Boniol to remain the kicking coach or if he wants to hire someone new, if anyone at all.
