Bank of Cuban is OPEN

Before Monday’s game, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban uttered what probably will become a widely repeated phrase as Dallas looks for ways to upgrade the roster before the Feb. 21 trade deadline.
“We’re letting everybody know the Bank of Cuban’s open,” Cuban said. “And if it’s the right deal, we don’t mind taking back money. But we’re not going to do a trade just to do a trade. It’s got to be worthwhile.”
Last week, Cuban said there was a “100-percent chance” the Mavericks would try to make a trade, but the Bank of Cuban remark will get some attention.
After reading his brothers remark on Twitter, attorney Brian Cuban jokingly re-tweeted that his “branch of the Bank Of Cuban is in receivership.”
Sounds like Cuban is keeping president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson busy — or driving him crazy.
“Every day, I’m going through rosters, trying to come up with ideas for Donnie,” Cuban said.
