We watched this yesterday. A long movie but well done. The start is sort of slow but I think that was the point that the kind of research needed to find threats to America is very slow going. Towards the end, it picks up and the final scenes are very, very good. Great cast, several familiar faces, really enjoyed this one.

Gary and ST LOVED it. Junior and Rob HATED it. I liked it.
It definitely built suspense and momentum as it went along, realistically depicting the frustration of the painstaking search for and eventual capture/killing of (thanks a lot) Bin Laden.
TONS of familiar faces acting in this one. The main chick was great, and definitely deserves her Oscar nom. A very well-executed piece of filmmaking all around, though the pace might be challenging to those with shorter attention spans.
I give it a B+.

Junior and Rob were watching it as if it was some screenplay written by someone trying to entertain them. This was what happened and I make no apologies for enjoying watching that process play out the way it actually did. I'm glad they gave us the behind the scenes story of how they got information, even the waterboarding stuff. That is HOW it happened. I think the movie would have been terrible if they just started with "we found some guy named Ahmed and he told us where Bin Laden is". The movie wasn't written like Rambo. If you've ever seen Young Guns, you might know that much of that story is real. However, they took A LOT of liberties to make the story "more interesting". I enjoyed the movie, but I knew it wasn't accurate. I enjoyed this movie because it IS accurate. Maybe it just belongs on the History channel or something because I understand why Junior and Rob hated it. I pretty much figured they were gonna hate it going in, but that was our group outing. My brother joined the army after 9/11 because of 9/11. He had a nice little corporate job with room to grow but he ditched it all because he felt that sense of duty. He did a tour in Afghanistan and then started a tour in Iraq before he got his arm nearly blown off and came within an inch (literally) of death. This movie probably carries more emotions for me than anything else I've seen and the US casualties shown in it hit a little closer to home than other movies I've seen.

I can definitely see how it would even be that much more powerful to those with loved ones who have served.

This should have been a documentary on the History channel like Gary said because it was boring for 2 hours and then had a nice 30 minute run of entertainment. Considering the hype going in, I expected better but as a behind the scenes docu-drama, I guess it served it's purpose.
