Watched Argo yesterday (bid double feature day...watch End of Watch too). Good movie. Alot like Charlie Wilson's War. Both are set as behind the scenes government working to do something about issues in the middle east. Charlie Wilson's War had alot of funny moments and was actually alot better than Argo, but Argo was pretty darn good, worth the theater price for me.
Argo fuck yourself.

I went in with low expectations because I thought it would be a political borefest but the movie was GREAT. The real life story was entertaining and Affleck did a good job of pacing the movie very well. Also, Goodman and Arkin were awesome in their supporting roles. The writing was funny and all the 80's nostalgia was cool to experience.
The only complaint I had with the movie was the last second feel of the climax seemed over the top. I'm not familiar enough with the actual events to dispute it and I know it was done to create tension in the movie but the "everything works out at the last second" ending was just too sugary for me.
Overall, huge thumbs up and definitely worth theater price. I would put this in my top 10 of movies this year.

I really liked Charlie Wilson's War. I was hoping Argo would be good. Can't wait to see how Walter White is in it.
