I really liked the first Taken, as it was a good action movie with a semi-plausible story, so I went in expecting a solid movie. While the action was good but unrealistic at times, the story was what really became outlandish. Granted, I didn't go into it expecting a great and hole-less plot but some of the timeline aspects of this movie were ridiculous. Things like finding antagonist hideouts and walking away from US Embassy's after destroying it were just comical.
Bad plot holes aside, what I really thought was the biggest movie failing was the ending. The last 2 kill scenes were flat out dumb and the way he gave the main bad guy a way out before having to take care of business left me wanting to vomit. For anyone that saw Dragonballz, it was Goku giving Frieza 1000 ways out before FINALLY being forced to handle things.
Overall, hate to say it, but thumbs down. The action is entertaining enough and Neeson, Janssen and the daughter were ok in their roles but you will be laughing at how ludicrous events unfold more than being enthralled in the shoot ups and explosions. Wait for cable on this one.
