I've done this before and I'll do it again just because it amuses me and in light of the 'Dez debate' I think it is relevant.
Some have said the Cowboys shouldn't have drafted Dez at #24 because of his red flags (the reason most of the previous 23 teams passed on him instead of him going somewhere in the top 10 most likely). I'll go on record right now and say if you held that draft again right now, Dez never makes it to 24. Go back and look at it.

Everyone loves to rip Jerry and his terrible draft record. LOOK at that draft! It was very bad. Jerry rolled the dice and I believe if everyone re-drafted today knowing what they know including all the "off the field" stuff with Dez, he still goes top 20.

We really need Dez to deliver this year, given our lack of experienced depth at WR. One of the young guys might step up and give us something as the 3rd receiver, but it's not a slam-dunk. Hopefully, Dez either won't be suspended at all, or will only be suspended for 1-2 games max.

The story on this keeps changing. She had no injuries when the cops got there, but the next day she had swelling on her wrist and her "chest hurt" where Dez "pushed her". Dez's brother says he didn't do anything to her.
Too much drama..who knows what actually happened. I can think of 100 scenarios where he could be relatively innocent.
Did you hear the 911 call? Ridiculous. Speculation for alot of people on the boards is that the other brother brought drugs into the house and Dez was pissed and while trying to "protect" his mom (from her crack-headedness) things were physical but not abusive.
Who knows? No idea...I'm just going to let it play out before I cast any judgement. I'm sure Goodell won't. He has no interest in the truth most of the time, just perception. It would really suck if Dez gets in trouble for actually trying to do the right thing.
For all his "troubles" this is the first time he has been arrested. Best thing he could do is just cut all ties to anyone in his family that isn't living the good, clean life.
Someone pointed out that Jerry should sit him down and show him the contract Brandon Marshall got, and the one that Fitzgerald got. There is a $70M difference between the 2. Do you want to be Marshall, the underachieving waste of talent or Fitzgerald, the best WR in football? He needs to make a choice on a direction and get with it.

Yeah, that Jerry sit-down sounds like a solid move. This could be a make-or-break year for Dez.
