Pretty silly and WAY over the top but I was entertained. Lots of cool action sequences and the story, albeit rushed, was interesting. I never read the book or had much in depth knowledge of Lincoln outside of the general presidency info, so I went in with low expectations. The plot takes MAJOR liberties with the whole story of the Civil War and Lincoln's upbringing but you couldn't go in expecting a biographical film, it is about vampires after all. The actors in the movie did a decent job although I only recognized the Mary Todd actress from Scott Pilgrim.
As long as you go in expecting outlandish silliness and cheesy action, you will enjoy this for what it is. My only major complaint was it seemed like they tried to cram lots of story into a small window of time, which made the movie feel like it was going 1000 miles an hour. You never got a moment to take anything in, it goes from one plot point to the next. It did remind me of a cross between Blade and Shoot Em Up, which I enjoyed. Thumbs up but I couldn't recommend first run movie pricing unless it is a $1 theater.

Seems a little ridiculous even if I checked my brain at the door.

Weird enough that I want to see it...just because it is so odd.
