This movie was very entertaining and I really enjoyed it. I've seen the first 3 Alien movies but was never really a huge fanboy of them but I thought it did a nice job of setting up the story and why the aliens looked the way they look. Great action sequences and truly tense moments, especially during the "surgery" portion.
The acting was solid, especially the main Ripley-esque character and Fassbender as David the Android (very different from being young Magneto). I also thought the engineers and early versions of the alien spawns looked cool. If you are a sci-fan and enjoyed the Alien saga, you will probably really enjoy how well it was done. Big thumbs up and worth theater price although not really worth 3-D or Imax upcharges.

With all the good, it seemed the story had some weird holes and moments though. Why did the redhead guy that was burned by the acid all of a suddent turn into a spider walking zombie? Why were the engineers so upset with mankind and wanting to destroy it? How was the scientist chick able to move around with a couple of staples holding her abdomen together? Why did the aborted face snatcher turn into a giant octopus? Why did David poison the boyfriend? I guess it is best not too worry about it and just stay entertained...LOL.
