It was much better than I was expecting. After watching the first 3, I thought it dropped in quality after the 2nd movie although the 3rd one (the Lycan prequel) was decent. This one brought Selene and Michael back into the story and it seemed to have more of the first movie feel to it. The action was constant, the effects were good and the pacing was crisp. This one also had some really brutal killings in it, it earned it's R rating despite not having any real nudity. The story was ok too although it had some big plotholes (how did the kid get born in the first place?). The only things that irked me about it was the hybrid from the 2nd movie was barely in the movie and the "3-D" wasn't really necessary since I didn't think it added anything to the movie. Overall, still a thumbs up and worth theater price but stay away from the 3-D.
