Traded that spare to the Orioles.
They are becoming the island of our misfit toys, as Chris Davis is already their Charlie in the Box.

For those that want a little sports with their comedy, the Rangers got a player to be named later and this guy:
Randy Henry (Rangers) 12/1/11 4:45 pm Rangers acquired RHP Randy Henry and a player to be named later for C Taylor Teagarden. Henry, 21, has a 3.33 ERA over his first two seasons in the minors, averaging 8.3 K/9 and 1.7 BB/9. The hard-throwing right-hander hasn’t pitched above High-A ball yet and dealt with some arm trouble this past season, but he’s a pretty solid relief prospect.

Interesting bit from today's Newberg Report:
According to Matt Eddy and Tim Ednoff (Baseball America), Texas intends to look at Henry, who is said to feature low-90s velocity and a plus slider but a below-average changeup, as a starting pitcher. The 21-year-old, who had Tommy John surgery as a high school senior and elbow inflammation issues in 2010, has made 40 appearances in his two pro seasons – all in relief. Henry has walked only 14 batters in 75.2 innings (fanning 70) and has coaxed more than twice as many groundouts as flyouts, surrendering five professional home runs.

Seems like Colby, Holland, Ogando, Feliz and Harrison should pretty well already have the starting rotation locked down solid, with Feldman (from across the hall) as the "extra" whenever an injury might befall one of the other five. Who gets bumped in order to make room for Henry as a conversion project?

Henry is a Class A player. MAYBE he'll be at Frisco next year. He isn't headed to the Bigs just yet.
