The toughest part of this for me is that I WANT to boycott any NBA transactions (me spending money on jerseys or anything like that) for 150 days. I wish fans in every NBA city would do that, but the reason it is hard is because I haven't been buying any Mavs Championship stuff since the lockout started.
I'm VERY frustrated with the NBA.
They have a deal. Name ONE REASON why they could not have this deal 6 months ago. This came down to a bunch of effing a-holes that do not give 2 craps about any of us. The fans are the absolute last thing on their minds and as much as I like Cuban, I REALLY hope the NBA gets hit HARD financially.

I would be more excited but I don't see any hope for the Spurs this year...I wish we would trade TP and let Manu/Tim retire so we can start the rebuilding.

I'll call Cuban and have him send over the paperwork. I would do it more for the salary relief than anything...could sign a potential big FA with what Timmy makes.

On a team where he is asked to do alot of heavy lifting that is true....on the Mavs he is a 3rd or 4th option. He can hit his little bank shot and defend 2nd or 3rd PFs/Cs. I'd take him...won't matter because this will never happen, but I'd take him.
This is like you getting a washed up Finley from us. He helped you win a title didn't he? Here he was a star. In SA, he was a role player.

Uh-oh... blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/2011/11/30/chandler-thinks-he-wont-be-back-with-mavs-this-season/Chandler thinks he won’t be back with Mavs this season
Tyson Chandler was widely hailed by many observers as one of the biggest reasons that Dallas claimed its first championship in franchise history earlier this year.
Most notably, NBA Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki credited Chandler will helping to instill a defensive attitude with the Mavericks that was missing in previous seasons.
Despite those plaudits, Chandler told ESPN.com he is convinced that his time with the Mavericks is ending.
“I really think I’m going to be on a new team come training camp,” Chandler told ESPN.com in a telephone interview Wednesday night. “I’m really taking a hard look at all of my options, trying to see what best suits me.”
Chandler told ESPN.com that he’s disappointed by the club’s decision not to offer him a contract extension. His defensive play helped turn around a losing culture that had seen Dallas eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in three of the previous four seasons before he arrived.
Before playing in 74 regular-season games with the Mavericks last season, Chandler had missed 69 combined games in the previous two seasons. He averaged 10.1 points and 9.4 rebounds in 27.8 minutes during the regular season for Dallas last season and 8.0 points and 9.2 rebounds in 32.4 minutes in 21 playoff games.
If Dallas chooses not to make a concerted effort for him, Chandler likely would be among the most attractive free agents available.
Obviously, if the Mavericks offered Chandler maximum money this season, it would limit their chances to be a major player in next season’s rich free-agent sweepstakes. Among the players who would be available then include Chris Paul, Dwight Howard and Dallas-area native Deron Williams.
