I'm just hoping we used this 2 weeks to get healthy and stay pissed off. Nothing but a ring is going to silence the critics, but winning in NE would be HUGE for this team's confidence.

I think the Cowboys offense plays well and puts points on the board but I don't think our defense will be able to stop NE's passing game. High scoring affair but Brady is too good right now, especially at home. Felix and Miles have good games...Scandrick, coming back from injury, gets torched by Wes Welker.
Patriots - 34 Cowboys - 27

Way to go Garrett...go into a shell and be "scared" like all the little Cowboy fans that call into talk radio. You know, running more in the 2nd half and nursing a lead works a little better when you're up 24 than when you're just up 3 and that is TOM EFFIN BRADY on the other side. Romo should have been given a chance to move the ball a little on that last possession prior to NE's TD. Yes, run the ball...but maybe a nice slant or fade stop, or even a TE screen??!!

Cowboys with their usual 4th quarter choke job...nothing new. At this point, Ron Washington could coach this team better than Garrett. Nice 3 straight runs to try and close out the game with 4 minutes left...1 first down probably would have ended it. Lots of turnovers, stupid penalties, substitution chaos, defensive collapses to end the game...I thought Wade was gone.

I don't think we choked. I just think Garrett got too conservative. I mean, those ARE the Patriots at home...Brady hasn't lost a regular season game there since 2006 for a reason. We should have won this, but the players didn't choke (although Austin's 2 drops were crucial). Those 3 runs made me sick. I thought the first one would be that play we ran for Holley vs Washington in OT...would have been PERFECT.

I posted this on a different board:
2 drops by Miles that killed a drive, fumble by Choice, 3 straight runs trying to close out the game (being scared to allow Romo to throw on 1st or 2nd down), and that TERRIBLE shovel pass at the goal line. Sometimes, the other team is pretty good too. Tom Brady has not lost at home in the regular season since 2006. We should have won this, but it isn't the end of the world. 2-3 is bad, but run off 6 of the next 8 (very possible) and you are 8-5 heading into the last 3 games. Those are @ Tampa, Philly, and @ NY. 2 of 3 gets you in, win all 3 and you're in for sure.
Garrett has to trust Romo. No more listening to radio call in shows. He is your QB, call the game the right way. Miles MUST stop dropping balls. He has done this a few times this season and they are killers. Murray should be the feature back with Felix getting the change of pace role (again). They are the best RBs we have. We need to figure out the LG situation, because it isn't good. We should give help to Tyron Smith a little more. Yes, he is very good, but he is also VERY young and prone to errors occasionally. Bailey is your kicker. Cut Buehler, he serves no purpose anymore.
On the next to last drive (the 3 runs and out) on first down I was thinking of Jessey Holley vs the 49ers. I thought we should line up 2 TE, FB, RB, and 1 WR. Fake the run and check the WR on the go route. If you have him, let it fly. If not, let it fly even farther so nobody gets it. I realize the clock might stop, but I'm a gambler and the clock was not a factor in the end anyway (for Brady).

By the way, Nagy out for the year with a broken ankle. Will be Arkin or Kowalski at LG until Dockery is better.

I agree that the three straight runs on that next-to-last drive really cost us - we lost the game by playing NOT TO LOSE, instead of playing to win.
Garrett was obviously fearing backlash if Romo ended up throwing a pick there, but you just can't play like that.

By the way, let's be sure to give MAJOR CREDIT to the defense for an OUTSTANDING game. Yeah, Brady marched down and won the game on that last drive, but to hold that team to 20 at home is excellent defense.
