Forgot to do a write up on this...
It was alot better than I was expecting, great action and the CGI Cesar looked very cool. The story was a slow build up but wasn't boring and the acting from Lithgow and Franco was solid. Once the monkey revolt kicked in, some of the scenes got a little cheesy, especially Cesar riding the horse and his Al Green voice at the end. Still though, it was highly entertaining and I liked all the subtle trinkets in homage to the original Planet of the Apes they mixed in. Thumbs up and worth theater price.
