So last night was Dave and Bob's big open mic night at Hyenas Comedy club. Overall I'd call it a big success. Bob's material was limited to "gravy boat" which lasted about as long as his standard sex acts, MAYBE reaching the 2 minute mark. Dave did a full set with some very good bits.
Bob needs to work on his material but delivery was ok.
Dave needs to work on his punchlines...the stories were funny as hell but there has to be a definitive wrapping up (punchline, catch phrase, something) and find a transition to the next story.
Good stuff by both. I heard a rumor they are going to do this regularly on Wednesdays. Obviously I'm rarely in town on Wednesdays so I'll miss them. Hopefully they will get good enough to be asked to do a set or two sometime between Thursday night and Sunday night when I can go.

Here is my set from last night...worst performance ever but the most depressing part was how fat I looked.

The Always Sunny clip damn near made me piss myself. If I ever get up on stage, I might just do the gagging humor on purpose.

I guess this technically isn't stand-up, but looks like Larry David's material back in the day could have used some work:

Looks like David Cross and Art Garfunkle had a love child and he is trying to do a bad Richard Lewis bit.
