Greenberg? Good Riddance. He is not the driving force behind our recent success ON THE FIELD. That would be Ryan and Daniels.
Old Chucky decided he wanted to pretend he was Jerry Jones and EFF what any of the real owners think. You want guys like that around the team? No thanks.
From what I've heard today he did a number of things.
First, once the bidding on Cliff Lee got to the point that we had made our final pitch, Greenberg went back to Arkansas alone to try and talk to Cliff again. He wasn't authorized to do anything...couldn't add years or money or anything else.
Next, he botched a deal to trade Young. He demanded that Young allow the Rangers to not pay any interest on his deferred money (illegal according to baseball's CBA) if the Rangers traded him. Young said 'no' (he could not say yes) and it killed the deal.
Then, Ryan was working on the club's extension for John Daniels. Daniels asked to have a suite included in his deal (most high ranking execs get that). Ryan told Greenberg to not to sell this suite, because it was going to be Johns. Greenberg immediately went out and sold the suite.
The guy was an issue. He said the right things in public, but was a complete jackass behind closed doors apparently. What do you expect from a LAWYER from PITTSBURGH?
EFF HIM. See ya bitch...you're lucky Nolan didn't Robin Ventura your weak ass.

does make you wonder if nolan is out on the jews, seeing as he's fired lewin and greenberg
if he trades kinsler, that would be a true red flag
