Really liked what I saw from Tashard Chioce. The Hurd injury makes me think that the Boldin deal is in the near future. Bartel may not make it to the practice squad ala Matt Moore.

The good: * The backup RB's are really showing me alot, especially Choice. I think he really has a knack for getting into the end zone and pushing for those hard yards. Felix's speed continues to impress me as well. * Bartell looked solid to me, definitely worth keeping on the practice squad for emergency call up duty. His performance last night may have earned him a spot on someone else's roster as a backup though. He looked really poised, made alot of nice check downs and I liked his ability to step away from pressure and deliver the ball withough panicking. * Martellus Bennett, for all the bad stuff about him on Hard Knocks, is showing he may be a "game day guy" and not a "practice guy". He made a couple of impressive catches and looks good on runs after the catch as well. * The LB George looked really good, he was getting some great pressure off the edge. He may be a keeper. * Eventhough the WR's as a whole did not impress me, I think Jefferson may be someone we might want to keep around. * Eventhough the O-line as a whole seemed to struggle to me, I thought Free did a decent job. * Kick return coverage looked alot better this week. Also, Nick Folk is becoming so money.
The bad: * The O-Line had Bartell running for his life alot of the time. He did a good job of sidestepping alot of it to buy time but he should not have been pressured that much if the O-line depth is as good as we think it is. The running game, outside of a few runs did not impress me either. Let's hope they trim the fat and get it together before the season ends. * The injury to Sam Hurd really sucked. He was doing well, I especially like the reverse play up until he got injured. Amendola, Lowber and the rest of the crew aren't doing much for me. I hope Stanback and Austin get back before our lack of depth starts to hurt us. * Secondary had its ups and downs, I was hoping some of the young guys would step up more (Jenkins, Scandrick, Ball).
Overall, considering the talent level on both sides, I thought we played decently.

Sam Hurds Reverse a good or a bad? Great run but injured cause io not doing the simplest of all running technique Get Your Damn Knees up, if he gets knees up he scores and isn't injured.

I thought it looked like he was jogging, not running. I don't like reverses or other types of trickery in pre-season. Hurd shouldn't be caught by a LB, especially a 2nd or 3rd string guy. If he runs, he doesn't get caught, then he doesn't get hurt.
