First off, I think Denver made a mistake by not taking the NJ deal...it was better than what they will get. Maybe Melo held it up by refusing an extension. If that is the case, they only place they can really trade him is straight to the Knicks.
Now, I don't ever do these NBA Trade Machine deals, but I just wanted to see how I could (IF I could) work this out to work for everyone and I think I did.

Mavs
Out - Butler, Haywood
In - Nene, JR Smith
Why - Haywood's contract is ridiculous with Chandler here and Nene can fill his role better and only has 2 years left. JR gives us scoring at the 2. Instant contention.
Nuggets -
Out - Nene, JR Smith, Carmelo
In - Curry, Wilson Chandler, Butler, Gallinari, Azubuike
Why - Nene and Carmelo want out. They also get $3M from the Knicks and 2 or 3 first rounders. $30M in expirings, 2 young players, and the first rounders.
Knicks -
Out - Curry, Chandler, Gallinari, Azubuike, draft picks, cash
In - Carmelo, Haywood
Why - They get Melo and a starting center.
Everybody happy. Nuggets suck, but they are going to suck no matter what if they deal Carmelo. This gives them a fresh start.
