Not only did Derek Anderson get a massive concussion the other night that could cause him to miss the season opener AGAINST THE COWBOYS, but there's also this... SOURCE FOR JUNIOR:cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/08/clevelands-josh-cribbs-could-miss-season.htmlThe Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Josh Cribbs, the league's most dangerous return man not named Devin Hester, has a high ankle sprain.
The story states that Cribbs could sit out the final two preseason games. I'm no doctor, but I do consider myself somewhat of an expert in high ankle sprain recovery times after covering the comebacks of Anthony Henry, Terrell Owens and Dirk Nowitzki from that dreaded injury during the last year.
A high ankle sprain typically sidelines athletes from 4-6 weeks. T.O. and Dirk came back quicker than that, but neither was close to 100 percent upon their return.
So the Cowboys either won't have to deal with Cribbs at all, or they'll face a version of him that can't cut nearly as well as usual.
It is worth mentioning that Syndric Steptoe had kick returns of 40 and 90 yards after Cribbs went down last night against the Giants.

Very nice...we would probably handle the Browns in week 1 anyway but every little bit helps...

Sounds good to me. I hope when we trim out roster down for the season opener, our kick/punt coverage teams get a lot better. McBriar has looked a little shaky, but he should be fine.

Dude bad Karma on this thread, can't be happy another player has been hurt. As well we are the mighty mighty Cowboys don't buy into this bullshit of wanting to play teams injured and hurt. Every game we aren't tested is a reason we will not when a superbowl.
I know Gary and Matt are better then this. Junior about Bob probably wish for death for every other teams leading players each and every week.

It seems like when a Dallas team plays someone without one of their main players, we seem to take them not as serious as we should.

I was commenting that it would be our luck for them to have a bad year this year when everyone thought they would have one last year and we had their first pick...

Just don't like these types of threads. When the Cowboys were winning superbowls we were going through the best teams in the league.

I'm positive that in those 3 seasons we played at least one team that had an injured player.
Again, I didn't comment on ANY injury...and I did that for a reason. I like to play a team's best players. You know that.
