If anyone has seen the Grindhouse movies, Death Proof specifically, they make a huge deal about the car used (1970 white Dodge Charger) and how it was like "Kowalkski from Vanishing Point". So Arla and I were curious and decided to buy the DVD since it was on sale at Albertson's for 7 bucks in the bargain bin section. Man that was... THE STUPIDEST MOVIE EVER!!!!It was nothing more than a couple of hours of watching the "Kowalksi" dude driving around and speeding for no reason whatsoever. It had a few cool moments while he is racing random cars during his trip from Colorado to San Francisco but the acting, editing and overall plot were TERRIBLE. It reminded us of how silly the original Wicker Man was with all the crazy 70's singing and weird visuals. I guess it was a time piece movie and you had to have experienced the 70's to really appreciate it but it didn't do much for me. Also, the end made absolutely no sense at all. 2 bright spots in the movie were Clevon Little playing a blind DJ that tries to help Kowalski on his mission and the dad from Good Times being his board op and taking a beatdown...
