Who are you hoping to pick up? I'm just praying the Spurs will actually draft someone in the US that can run and jump. We have been burned the last couple of years by foriegn players not panning out (Scola, Splitter). It's time for straight up, american born, college playing thugs to come in and help Tim and the gang out. If they can somehow pick up Mario Chalmers with their 1st rounder (26) and Joey Dorsey with one of their 2nd rounders (45 and 57), this draft will be greatness.

Some of the mock drafts I've seen show CD-R (from Memphis) sliding down close (but not quite all the way) to the Spurs. I think he would DEFINITELY be worth trading up for. He is EXACTLY what we need in terms of another scoring threat.

Mavs could use one of everything and two of alot of things...it will be a minor miracle if Donnie is able to field an entire roster (14 or 15 guys). The draft won't be much help for us unless Cuban is able to buy a first rounder (has been rumored).
I keep waiting for a trade to happen...we have some S&T guys and Stack's contract is only guaranteed for $2M after this coming season (so Cuban could toss in $2M and call it an "expiring" deal).
I'm hoping we re-sign Diop (he wants to come back) and an athletic wing like CJ Miles from Utah along with bringing back Antoine Wright. I don't think we will deal Josh right now so it looks like alot of the same guys and hopefully a decent coaching job....I'm not excited about it right now.

Worst Spurs draft in their history...and that is saying something. George Hill will play 2 seasons in the D League before going into a lucrative Home Depot cashier career and spending time at the San Antonio rec leagues. Way to go Spurs front office...

I wonder if that Gist is any good? If you do a Youtube search on him, he has alot of highlight dunks. I think that is pretty much all he does though... |
