who all is running Tivo/DVR on men's b-ball? Here is Team USA's preliminary round schedule and I'm sure most, if not all, the games will be on NBC...
vs. China: Aug. 10, 10:15 a.m. ET vs. Angola: Aug. 12, 8 a.m. ET vs. Greece: Aug. 14, 8 a.m. ET vs. Spain: Aug. 16, 10:15 a.m. ET vs. Germany: Aug. 18, 8 a.m. ET Quarterfinals: Aug. 20 Semifinals: Aug. 22 Finals: Aug. 24 Of those first set of games, I think China (Yao, Yi). Spain (Gasol, Calderon) and Germany (Dirk) will give them some problems but I would be shocked if they didn't win the gold or at least get to the Final. Argentina will be tough though (Manu, Oberto, Scola, Nocione)...

Did anyone get a chance to catch some of these b-ball games? I saw the majority of them all thru DVR except the last one against Germany. They have looked pretty dang good, especially against Greece and Spain, who were supposedly are toughest games going in. Do you think it is a done deal that this team takes home the gold? Argentina still looks tough...

I saw the China and Spain game, mostly through the slowest FF speed once the games got out of control. I don't think Argentina can beat them, but they will give them their "toughest" game.

This team will destroy all competition. They actually built a TEAM this time... Yep, they sure did. It's nice to have guys that actually wanted to make the 4 year commitment and have the ability to mesh & play together. The past few teams were just a bunch of guys that were thrown together at the last second.

The past few teams were just a bunch of guys that were thrown together at the last second. Lebron, Kobe and Wade have been defensive beasts in the games I saw. Their defense pressure and full court press are a thing of beauty right now and the steals from it are accounting for a majority of the highlight dunks they are throwing down. They are looking unbeatable now but it only takes 1 game of crazy 3 point shooting to make things interesting...

Coach K makes a ton of difference too. He should ALWAYS be the coach. College coaches know how to install and run systems with new groups of guys every year. Pro coaches are used to having a system that can take time for players to adjust....more complicated.

Last I heard, it was out of reach. Early 4th is what I think I heard them say on the radio.
