The Dallas Cowboys signed guard Larry Allen Friday so that the Pro Bowl guard may retire with the team. A formal announcement and recognition by the Cowboys will be made at a later time. Allen played in Dallas from 1994 to 2005 and earned 10 Pro Bowl selections. He spent the last two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and earned a trip to the Pro Bowl following the 2006 season. Hall of Famer Bob Lilly is the only Cowboys player to earn more Pro Bowl selections (11), than Allen, and Mel Renfro is the only other man in club history to earn 10 Pro Bowl trips. He was also a seven time All-Pro selection. Allen was a second round draft choice out of Sonoma State by Dallas in 1994. The Cowboys released guard Adam Stenavich to create a roster spot for Allen.

Bet he could still do it. How much was it that he benched? 700 something?

Allen's scheme was easy....Destroy whoever was in front of him.

Allen's scheme was easy....Destroy whoever was in front of him. Simple, effective, and would still work!

he was a true beast out there, hated him pulling the last couple of years but the rest was all good.

yeah pulling isn't something needed when you can push someone back 5 yard every single play.

I can't say Larry could do what he did in the past but 5 yard pushing Eagles, Skins, and Giants would be fun to watch.

"2013 Hall enshrinee: Larry Allen!" Larry, "thanks" hell...he might just grunt.
