Remember all the pressure coming off of the left side from Robinson? That was all on Free. can you keep a guy that can't protect QBs blind side?

Well if you think about it some of these guys are going to make the team need practice guys, Free isn't going to help get our LBs better by giving a good look. Holland, McQuistan, and Berger are all in. So if Free is moved to right tackle or cut, and we have nothing as far as depth at left tackle there for no good look in practice and our team hurts in the long run. Marten to me isn't even an option at this point as done nothing to progress.

Instead of cutting them, is there a chance a team would want them and trade for them? Or would they just wait and see if they are cut since decisions have to be made tomorrow?

Well I am sure trades are options. I am just only sure about 3 of our backups Holland, McQuistan, and Berger. I know that is not very deep. I hoped going into this season Free would take that next step he didn't.

Well well well let the guy that watches the O-line tell you about Free, McQuistan, Proctor, and Marten. Off of last nights performance Proctor, Free, and Marten are goners. Berger played really good, McQuistan was outstanding. people don't get cut off of one preseason performance. the team likes Free and Proctor. Marten is the guy that Hudson Houck was calling out on Hard Knocks, saying he isn't strong enough. Guys will get cut based on what they have shown in practice and upside. Marten is the odd man out right now. Free and Proctor are safe for now. |
