In November, Rafferty was admitted to Royal Bournemouth Hospital in Dorset, England, with kidney failure, after years of battling alcoholism.
Rafferty was born in Glasgow and co-founded the soft-rock group Stealer's Wheel, before enjoying a successful solo career.
I know his hits (Baker Street & Stuck in the Middle) so...IN!

The horns in the song are very distinctive...as soon as you hear it, you know what it is.
however, if I was channel surfing and I heard it, I'm not sure that I stop and listen.

dangit it is my favorite for very sentimental reasons it was a hit back when you could still finish?? had a feeling that might be coming no, the first summer i got to stay at home by myself when my parents were at work was when this song came out, and it just brings back memories of me going down to the local pool halls and arcades on my own...it represents my first taste of freedom (whic i only tasted again a few months ago LOL)
