The only time I saw Metallica was after the Black album was released. It was Faith No More, Metallica & GNR @ Texas Stadium in a suite that my mom's boss owned. Bunch of her drunk co-workers, but at least Axl wasn't 3 hrs. late like the first time I saw them.

Hey, I was at that show...triple headliner...that was right after Hetfield got burned and they brought in another guitarist to play while he just sang...

That was it. I don't remember too much being 12 and all and not being able to see very good. Where was it that Hetfield was burned? FOr some reason I am thinking it was in Montreal.

The first half of the movie (boot camp) is really the only solid part of it. Once they get shipped off, it loses it's steam (except for the "Me so horny" part). It made Sgt. Hartman legendary...

Yeah, the boot camp portion was the highlight of the movie. The war part was good, just when you compare it to boot camp, it has a high bar to reach.
I liked it when the soldier made fun of the dude on the scooter.
