Ahhh the good old days...watching the Von Erichs (the pride of Lake Dallas, TX!) and hating all those bad guys. When I was a kid, the highlight of every year was getting to go to the Wrestling matches they would hold at the football stadium in Lake Dallas. Hard to believe Kevin is the only one still living.

I miss those days. I remember as a little tot, being allowed to stay up on Saturday nights to watch Championship Sports on KTVT 11.
WWE 24/7 Video on Demand is showing the old Sportatorium shows that aired on channel 39 back in the day in chronological order. I could make tapes for anybody that's interested.

I'll have to check WWE 24/7's schedule... don't think that World Class is showing this week. I think they'll run it next week.
As for the time period they're in right now, I want to say it's around spring 1983, in the midst of the Von Erichs/Freebirds feud, with David Von Erich having that side feud with Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin for the Texas Title.

Man, that is right in my wheelhouse. I have a few of those DVDs they produced about the Von Erichs and that era of wrestling. One of them has an extensive interview with Kevin and David Manning talking on Kevin's ranch in Denton. Kevin has a son that is pretty good sized...wonder if he'll get into wrestling.

Not sure about Kevin's son, but I know Kerry's daughter has gotten into it, Lacey Von Erich(she's a hot, I might add, AFTER spitting out a squid). She had a short stint in WWE's farm league, FCW and had a match against Jim Neidhart's daughter, Nattie Neidhart, marking the first time that someone from the Von Erich family faced someone from the Hart family. Unfortunately, things didn't work out between Lacey and WWE and she got the axe. She's been doing small independent shows in the area from what I hear.

That was the first wrestling show that I remember. Oddly enough, my grandma and I use to watch it.
